- Overlay of images of different imaging modalities (US / MRT / CT) is computational intensive and a big challenge during the operation. GPGPU provide more and more computation power to challenge this problem
- Organ shift / Shifting anatomy is another challenge during intraoperative navigation that make the use of preoperative planing / imaging data more and more obsolete during the operation
